We take care of all of your approvals, are experienced in dealing with listed buildings and sustainable construction and specialise in achieving difficult planning consents.
As architects, we provide the full range of services you would expect including feasibility advice, planning design, construction drawings, project management and contract administration. By working with experienced consultants we can also provide you with structural engineering, party wall surveying, landscape and interior design and decoration.
We don’t have a ‘house style’ and instead our designs are largely influenced by our clients. Good design, rather than being about having grand ideas, is about listening, understanding and interpreting your requirements. We tend to work in sympathy with a building’s character and form, this being the best way to achieve a cohesive and convincing design. A well thought out and resolved design will probably be more successful than one that just specifies expensive fittings and finishes. Whether yours is a traditional look or something more modern, we work hard to ensure that your project is the best it can be.
In the same way as we try and make the most out of design, we try and get the most out of your builders. We always work together as part of a team to provide support to ensure that projects are buildable and economic. No excuses, no passing the buck, we realise that the success of a project often comes down to how well everyone works together. Just as a practical and economic approach can enhance design, our friendly and professional approach to management helps to ensure the best possible results on site.
Most architects usually charge a percentage of the construction cost. To demonstrate our commitment to sticking to budget, we usually quote a fixed fee. So even if your builder’s price does go up you won’t have to pay us more.
Based in Winchester, we work locally in Hampshire and in Central London where we have ongoing projects and clients we regularly visit.
